As the UTV Industry has grown we have had the pleasure of being challenged with more & more UTV races, rides and events to attend. Time for a new trailer!
The transportation of our UTVs has become part of that challenge. We started with the simple single UTV trailer, but when our 4 seater arrived we realized it wouldn’t fit. We picked up a longer unit to fit the 4-seater but soon regretted not finding one long enough for both of our 2 seat UTVs. After lots of consideration & discussion we decided that we needed a trailer at least 26′ long that could easily haul two 4 seat UTVs. Immediately after we began our search it became obvious that general utility trailers over 16′ in length are not common. Furthermore most of which are built with flimsy channel iron frames, angle iron railing, cheaply assembled wood decking & electrical wiring & lights.
On the other hand trailers we found over 16′ long were typically meant for hauling automobiles or machinery and were much too heavy and far too expensive for us and our intended use. After nearly giving up, our search we were finally rewarded with the discovery of Echo Trailers. Not only did they have four separate lines of quality built, affordable, lightweight UTV specific trailers, but they in fact had a model that was 26′ long! We quickly set about researching their trailer lines and all of the many options that are offered. We then contacted Echo Trailers and placed our order for a 26′ Advantage including optional tread plate metal decking & aluminum mag wheels with radial tires.
Additionally we were so impressed with the Echo Trailers line up that we decided to replace our current 14′ utility with a 14′ “Ultimate” model. After a few short weeks our new trailers arrived! Upon our first inspection it was apparent that we had chosen a brand with exceptional quality & workmanship. Both of our Echo Trailers were constructed with rectangular tube frames &square steel tube railing.
Echo Trailers are also entirely powder coated black before the final assembly of wiring, lights & tires, wheels. We couldn’t wait to hook up & try them out! All Echo Trailers are a standard two inch ball & come with a swing away rolling tongue jack that allows for easy trailer maneuvering when it’s not attached to your tow vehicle. Echo Trailers uses quality trailer wiring & standard trailer light connectors. Both our 14′ & 26′ trailers are equipped with all L.E.D. lights.
Our 26′ Advantage trailer came standard equipped with electric trailer brakes for added safety when carrying the weight of two UTVs. The trailers feature heavy duty swing up loading ramps that have two position lock off points. One lock off point holds the ramp vertical while the second allows it to be locked off at an angle when hauling loads that are a little longer then the trailer’s deck. Our trailers were also equipped with Echo’s two inch retractable ratchet strap tie downs. These tie downs are anchored to the trailer deck with reversible anchors & allow you to easily secure your UTV to the trailer in seconds! After hooking up the trailer & loading our project XP4 we used the ratchet winch tie downs to quickly & easily secure the machine and set off down the road. Immediately we realized how smooth & light the trailer pulled.
The engineering and materials used by Echo allow the trailer to be both light weight and durable. We are confident that these trailers will deliver us years of trouble free, efficient and reliable service.
