Introducing Team UTV Scene / Double E Racing’s Yamaha YXZ1000R

Today we officially introduce a project that we think you’re going to want to keep an eye on throughout the year. Instead of joy riding our new Yamaha YXZ1000R around the dunes out west, we will be racing it in the Pro Production class at each round of the thriving UTV Rally Raid Series on the east half of the country.
We have tested and confirmed that the YXZ performs extremely well in desert and sand dune terrain out west, and there’s no doubt the sleek-looking made-for-performance Yamaha has been proven to be an excellent racing machine, as Dustin Nelson and Corry Weller have been winning races on their YXZs. But, until now, a professional championship-capable team has yet to pull to the line with a race-ready YXZ at an east coast race.

George White and Keith Little, 2013 UTV Rally Raid QR1 Champions, will split time driving the #612 YXZ, while Crew Chief Anthony Rick spins wrenches and mans the pits.

As for now, as the team gets ready for the UTV Rally Raid opener, there have been a few changes made to our #612 entry, but all in all it’s pretty darn showroom stock. We’re looking forward to providing race recaps after each round of the series, here you can communicate and ask questions, and if you’re interested in checking out a UTV Rally Raid event, complete with NASCAR-style pit stops, jumps, rocks and high speed sections that last into the dark night, by all means stop by our pits and say hello, we’re happy to answer questions and give you the tour of our new Yamaha YXZ1000R.
