If we are going to refer to our 2017 Polaris RZR S900 as “mighty” it’s without a doubt many of the weak points need to be addressed. As part of improving the suspension, steering and drive-line of the machine – the stock axles needed to go.

After considering a few other brands, all of which are WAY more money, we decided Super ATV’s new Rhino 2.0 axles would be quite worthy for our Project Mighty RZR build.

The Rhino 2.0 is one tough product. Super ATV has over a decade worth of research and development into their newest generation of dependable yet affordable axles.

The Rhino 2.0 axle is precision engineered using the latest CAD technology. It’s made from high-strength 4340 chromoly steel that is then meticulously heat treated. This balanced combination of design and technology gives the Rhino 2.0 axle the impressive ability to absorb energy without breaking.

Another important property of 4340 is its high twist yield. Rather than worrying about whether this axle will break other components, Super ATV has designed each shaft to have yield properties that allow it flex and return back to its regular state rather than destroy your differential.

Super ATV torture tests their axles in real life simulations that range from 80+ mph desert racing, high-angle and monster tire mud rides, and ultimate rock crawling smack downs. Super ATV’s state of the art testing equipment allows for axle designs that require no break in periods and no risk of overheating due to metallurgical failures.

What’s more the Rhino 2.0 is able to handle over 45 degrees of operating angles and 20 degrees of suspension travel. So this is a great solution for those of you that want to run bigger tires, long travel suspension and a lift kit.

Finally, like many of their products Super ATV puts their money where their mouth is with an 18 month warranty. Bend it our break it and they’ll send you a new one. That’s pretty impressive, especially since their Rhino 2.0 axles come in at less than half the price of axles of this same quality!

We had no problem with the install. The only obstacle you might have is if your machine has been in a lot of mud in its history. So if your axles are rusted or corroded they may not come out of the differentials as easy as ours did. If this is the case you might consider purchasing this handy tool.

Check out the other upgrades we’ve made with this build including our Super ATV A-arms, Super ATV Tie Rods, Double E Racing Shocks, Garage Products Bushings and Keller Ball Joints.
